Membership in Friends of Krimgold Park is free, and there is no requirement to do volunteer work. Nevertheless, FoKP members have actively volunteered in a number of ways. They have performed and/or continue to perform the following volunteer activities:
Built & installed 30 Bluebird Nesting Boxes and a Purple Martin Gourd Rack
Eagle Scout projects: installing bat houses, planting trees, disc golf course
Periodically collect the trash from the trash barrels around the Park
Provide articles and photos for the monthly FoKP Newsletter
Liaison with Rec & Parks and FARC for Park improvements
Established a Lost & Found at the start of the paved trail
Keep the doggie waste bag dispenser supplied
Painted distance markers along the paved trail
Created and maintain the Native Plant Garden
Edit and publish the monthly FoKP Newsletter
Created and maintain the Perimeter Path
Organize and lead periodic Bird Walks
Kept the pond drains clear of debris
Created and maintain this website
If you would like to help with any of the above activities, or if you have an idea for another way to volunteer, please contact the FoKP Chair, Barb Chavez.
Alternatively, you can donate money toward the improvement of Krimgold Park through the Carroll County Park Legacy Fund. Be sure to specify Krimgold Park in the lower left-hand corner of the form. Several members have used this method to donate trees and/or benches in honor of loved ones.
